Alice in Wonderland

I have two of the best friends that also love to plan parties. I met Heather and Misty in college and since then they have become like family to me and we have planned several parties together. Three years ago Misty had the cutest little girl, Jaylin. This weekend we are celebrating her third birthday with a Candyland Birthday party. In honor of her birthday week, I thought I would post pics from her second birthday.

Misty had the best idea for Jaylin's second birthday party, Alice in Wonderland. The birthday girl was dressed as Alice in a dress her mom made and a mini top hat.

There are so many great themes from the movie and allowed us to do some very fun things. They rented out a place with several rooms so we decorated one room as the Mad Hatter's Tea Party. We hung brightly colored lanterns from the ceiling, used teapots as centerpieces, and made the entrance look like the rabbit hole.

The second room was decorated in red and black for the The Queen of Hearts. The sign in the window said "Off with Their Heads."

Jaylin has a lot of people that love her including her Uncle Jim who made these wood card people for a bean bag game. The kids had a great time playing with these!

Misty makes amazing cakes and this party was no exception. See below for the colorful cake complete with fondant roses on the top that were painted red just like the Queen of Hearts.

In addition to the cake, they had jars of candies that had Alice in Wonderland cartoons on them.

Looking back on the pictures, I can't believe a year has already gone by. I am so thankful for great friends and their cute little girls to plan parties for! Look for Candyland birthday pictures next week!
